Camo your worries good bye!

My fashion heads, when all else fails a camo pair of pants may do the trick. Camouflage has been around for centuries and this season its being used on everything from vests, shorts, jackets, pants, shirts and even nails, the shit is every where. I've always been fond of the print and have had camo pants and jackets in previous years and would occasionally take them out of my closet and get some use out of them, but now one fashionista wears this print and stores are packed with camo overload. Now these pants I have here are not only camo but they are also....a dropped crouch, I know I know. I saw them on the hanger and was like "these pants, they are my everything, the material is nice, the prints colors are perfect" but then.. dumdumdum, I saw the CROUCH. I've seen this look on fellow fashion blogs and heads, but never thought I could EVER pull something like this off, I'm far to short to be sporting  something like this, and quite frankly they reminded me of Aladdin's pants. But I said screw it and ran to the dressing room to try these babies on. I kid you not,  I was in the dressing room doing the " how do these look from the front, the side, the ass" turn about 20 times, over and over, just having a love hate relationship, I wanted so bad to love them! One of the sales woman said it took her a little while to get used to the look but they turned out to be her favorite pair of pants, so I too wanted a fling with these, so I bought them. I kept them in the bag with the receipt in my closet for a about a week in a half debating on if I should return them or not, thinking "really, am I ever going to wear these crouchy pants?!" And it turns out kids, I did, and LOVED IT! Of course these may cause some of my readers to gasp in OMG's or is she freaking kidding me, and that's fine, well call them a conversational piece if you will. Now personally I love these pants, but one day I have high hopes to work with a designer or shit BE ONE, so the only thing I would change about these is I would tighten up the front panel to make them look less diapery and bring in a little sexy. These pants took the entitlement of the key note speaker of my entire look, so I paired them with a simple tank, a faux leather jacket and my favorite multi cross necklace. Now if you can't get past these aliabobwah pants, I definitely recommend you include some camo for fall in your wardrobe, peep my must haves after the jump!

There you have it!

My Zara love continues!

My fashion heads, I'm taking the time in this post the say "syanara to summer". I enjoyed the last really warm weekend of summer and wore head to toe Zara, not necessarily on purpose, I just found my self pulling pretty things out of my closet and they just so happen to be all from Zara, literally. I don't know if I have admitted this yet to you guys or not, but I honestly feel that the reason I have SO much love for Zara is because...I only discovered it a little less then a year ago..I KNOW, fashion head fail! But now that Zara consumes a large portion of my wardrobe, I thought I would take the time to express why I'm a "Zara Whore". I know I'm not the only one, there is a BIG reason why every time I shop there the lines for the dressing rooms are 10 people deep at least, fashionistas just flock there! Not only is this store on trend its also super affordable as compared to other department store and high end designers but caries similar if not some times better stuff.
Exhibit A:
The looks for less

Zara has a way of making me feel so wonderful when I get dressed. Having such a great collaboration of clothes from chic business woman attire, to downtown casual, to rocker FABulos! My favorite section of their clothes is the TRF. And OMG you guys,  they just launched their HOME collection TOOOday, so make sure you take a peep! Check out my head to toe Zara look below and also my favorite things from their HOME collection, which seems to have a very glamorous vibe!

And for the home!

One shirt, 3 looks.....how does she do it?

My Fashion Heads, today I'm mixing shit up! I'm sure you alllll know by now how much I love adding the unexpected to an outfit. Who would of ever thought that your boyfriend's jeans could come in so handy? Designers have come to the realization that not every girl wants to walk around with tight ass pants on all the damn time, we can be cool and collective too! So with this in mind I took the initiative and took a plain  cream blouse and paired it with some boy friend jeans, maybe not the baggiest I've seen but they did the freakin trick! Mixing the unexpected intrigues the eye and is what makes the outfit so interesting. I wanted to show how versatile this pretty little shirt was! Then it got me thinking of how many outfits I could really wear this shirt with... and that's always my closing argument when I come home with shopping bags and have to fess up to my husband, "but I can wear it with jeans, skirt, pants! So many things with just one purchase, I'm SAVING you money!" Scroll on peeps to get the whole vision and the thought process behind this..

We want some excitement when we look in the mirror ladies. Putting your self together, not to impress other people per say (which is always good if you do) but impress your self, if you look good you feel good.

Now the break down:
The first look is a tad casual, still very basic to me, but these boy friend jeans bring the idea that you can look pretty in a blouse but still have the look that your a little rough around the edges. I paired the Guess blouse with zara jeans, surprise surprise, Steve Madden sneaker wedges, zara bag (how fire is it?!?) cotton on clear John Lennon inspired sunnies, my new favorite can't ever leave my side multi cross necklace from Regal Rose and a spiked bracelet from F21. This outfit explains me! I love everything about it!

The 2nd look is not on the totally dressed up side, it of course has my edge, but you can change the shoes to heels or a more simple boot depending on the occasion to where we wear the outfit. I paired a subtle snake print pant in black and a dark red with studded military style boots, Melody Ehsani necklace and gucci clutch. Again mixing hard and soft is the golden ticket, studded boots that can also be used as a weapon, always a thumbs up!

NOW my 3rd look, this is the creme dela creme, thinking outside the box. I had this very cute, maybe even sexy little number which included, sequin shorts from express and my go to going out studded strappy heels...then i thought to myself, SO TYPICAL! I looked in my closet and saw my new camo shirt from Zara (again with studs) and threw it on and it just sang to me. Who would have thought? Its maybe not for everyone, but that's not what this is about, it's about using your imagination to complete a look that just makes you feel good, and if feeling good means throwing a camo studded shirt over a hot little outfit, as nike would say, JUST DO IT! I'm asked a lot by many friends, "you can mix silver and gold metals?", and the answer to that is ALWAYS YES! You don't want to walk around looking like a disco ball, but if you spread the metals through out your body, and stagger it around it will just flow. Matching and playing by the rules is never fun. I grew up with the mother that went by the rule book and was ones of those people who match everything, she'd say "well there's teal in my shirt, so I need teal shoes, and a teal bag" and I'm sorry, but that makes me cringed! That was may be for some people, but I've always been a rule breaker. Break down those comfort walls and make shit happen and enjoy what you see when you look in the mirror! Fashion is all about Having Fun!!

Which look was your favorite?

I wanted this to be inspiring, whether you like my edgier style or not, it's just about being creative with what you wear, take risks and think of the unexpected. See how easy one shirt can be worn so many ways. Dig in your closet and try it, think of all the outfits you can recreate and make into new life.

Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening" -Coco Chanel
