Going out is a breeze!

My fashion heads, I do go out, I swear! Saturday nights with my friends is a must at least a couple times a month to release the pressures of real life. I have found it more difficult to be cute and a little sexy as the temperatures drop, going out in a skirt or shorts when it's 30 degrees is not only unrealistic, its dumb. I've done it though, we've all probably done it, wanted to try and brave the cold for the name of fashion, but let's be honest, we all froze and chattered our butts off. So what else is out there, to wear when we go out and still manage to look cute and fashionable while still staying warm?!

ENTER: faux leather leggings & pants!

Leather/faux leather has been kinda a big deal in fashion this season, whether it's leather trim, leather sleeves and leggings/pants. It's always a staple piece in the ol' wardrobe that will grace it's presence every year, kinda like a perennial flower. Not only can this years leather be found in black, but also in other trendy colors like oxblood and dark teal (trust me HOT). If your not fond of leather there are also great options in waxed denim, and velvet leggings, which are beautiful. I decided to go with the traditional black in my look for today, because I wanted to have a pair that was versatile and I could wear over and over, mixing it around with different looks.

If you have to cover your legs, then why not cover up in something chic and amazing, and

something that every girl will ask "OMG, where did you get those?" (do you hear that girls voice like I do?)

Friday's pretty little things!

My fashion heads, do to the lack of cooler weather, it's still only the first week of October so I guess I'll have to be patient, the layering project hasn't quite been able to start so I decided to take a peek into my collection of sparkle. A lot of decorating went down at the "Sellitero" house last night this project being one of them (other pictures to come). One of my loves of being a fashion head is the jewels. I have been collecting over my 25 years life and never quite found the perfect way to display my prize possessions. I had them for many years sitting in a drawer getting ruined and tarnished. I saw a few ideas on Instagram and on the web, so I decided I'd be the copy cat for once and do the same to my collection. Before organizing my life of jewelry, like I said, I literally had it all sitting in a drawer not even really knowing what I had under the piles of pretty. Statement necklace after statement necklace, I said to myself a few time "damn I forgot I had this one?!" The start of the process was finding the perfect displaying board. I originally just went to Michales and picked up a "nothing special" thumb tack board, brought it home and thought "what the hell is pretty about this" so I canned that one and continued my search and landed the perfect one at Home Goods. It was perfect enough to not take away from the rest of my room and just hang quietly, or as quiet as she'll get, in the corner of my room, the perfect area where I put my self together in the morning. My wonderful hubby and his manly skills put it up for me, and I hung away. I think it's the best way to see all you have right in front of you so you just grab and go, easy peasy! As for the jewels in my collection, we mustn't forget the arm parties and rings galore! I bought other organizers from Home goods and placed the goods as neatly and visibly as I could, so all I have is laid out on the table for an "Easy put myself together" manor for my morning routines. I can't call myself Elizabeth Taylor, in no means right now, but maybe one in training. Enjoy and get inspired!

It's Hump day, so let's Arm Party!

My Fashion Heads,

I'm gona make this short and sweet. Jewelry is the icing on the cake for an outfit. As I'm sure a lot of you have seen on other sites and on fellow fashionista's , your outfit can be plain as shit but you can make it sing when adding great pieces from your jewelry box. So let's make this all about the arms, as Leandra Medina or aka The Man Repeller would call it an "arm party", stacking bracelet on bracelet on bracelet. This was a very hot trend this summer and it all went back to summer camp and friendship bracelets.  If you were lucky enough like I was, yeah right,  you were sent to summer camp as a child, the only good thing I ever took back from those days was when the girl councilors would teach us how make friendship bracelets and lanyard, and by the end of the summer your arms were cover in the suckers.  Then summer 2012 came along and some genius brought them back but better then ever and added rhinestones, chains, and studs to them.  So like some of us we went back to our roots of summer camp and started the stacking.  Unfortunately if your not as DIY crafty as some this can get rather expensive when you want to have a full fledged party on up your wrist. So what I went and did was visited websites like Etsy where people sell their handmade goods for reasonable prices. Or what is another great way is to buy larger cuffs with lots of detail that can be a hell of a party on its own or again layered with others.
